Customers are certainly excited about Independence day. In 2015, food and retail sales hit $6.6 billion, and it’s growing every year.<\/p>\n

Independence Day is an opportunity you don\u2019t want to miss out\u00a0on, since it\u2019s such a great time to run specials and promotions. Whether it\u2019s through social media, emails, or your website, promote your online parts store with some USA-themed holiday deals.<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

1. Set up some killer prices.<\/h2>\n

Who doesn’t like\u00a0a good sale?<\/p>\n

This one is a no-brainer.\u00a0Holiday sales bring in customers, simple as that. Whether it\u2019s a discount, a promo code, or free shipping with select orders, entice your potential customers with something nice this Independence Day.<\/p>\n

You can choose whether these sales are available to anyone who visits your parts website, or if the promo code is only given out via email in order to get more customer email addresses.\u00a0As an especially\u00a0patriotic sale, why not offer a special discount just for veterans? Think about what works best for you and your store!<\/p>\n

So what if you give\u00a0a\u00a0freebies to your customers? For example, anyone who makes a purchase during the promotional period gets an Independence Day bumper sticker or magnet (and buy in bulk<\/a> to get them for cheap). Purchases over a certain threshold might get a bigger prize, like a patriotic license plate\u00a0frame,\u00a0t-shirt, or hitch cover. This idea can work for in-store and online purchases, so you’re not limited by your selling channel.<\/p>\n

3. Trivia, anyone?<\/h2>\n

Everyone is decking their dealership halls with red, white, and blue. And while that’s great, why not take it a step further?\u00a0In addition to the right colors, look up some interesting facts about Independence Day to include in your promotions. For example, we\u2019re on our 240th\u00a0anniversary of that fateful day, July 4th\u00a01776. But did you know most historians agree that the Declaration wasn\u2019t signed until August?<\/p>\n

4. Spread the word.<\/h2>\n

Seriously, get excited. If you’re energized about your deals, then your customers will be, too.<\/p>\n

The 4th\u00a0of July means Americans hyped up on patriotism. Favor the necessary colors (red, white, and blue) in your advertisements and even incorporate the USA flag. On Facebook, share a picture of a classic American BBQ or car parts decorated with balloons. Have fun with it!<\/p>\n

Customers won\u2019t know about your Independence Day promotions if you keep quiet. Promote your parts store however possible. A promotional email<\/a>, a Facebook update, or a tweet on Twitter are all great options and even better when all utilized together.<\/p>\n

And don\u2019t wait until July 3rd to get started.\u00a0Let your customers know in advance so they have time to react.<\/p>\n

5. Be prepared.<\/h2>\n

Whatever you end up doing, decide in advance. Don\u2019t save anything for the last minute. Rather than throw something together the day before, you\u2019ll find better results with a well-thought out plan.<\/p>\n

For example, you could poll your customers to see what they\u2019re looking to buy this summer. When you set sales and discounts for the 4th\u00a0of July, you\u2019ll have an idea of what to target to get the most success. Make sure you\u2019re in stock for those items, too!<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget about getting the word out. Preparing an email in advance will give you time to craft out the right words or find the perfect patriotic image.<\/p>\n
